Google review tool for UK sole traders.
Carpet cleaners, gardeners, window cleaners — one-man bands competing on responsiveness. Ollie writes the reply in your voice; you tap approve from the van.
Why sole traders lose work they don’t even hear about
You’re not losing those jobs to him because his work is better. You’re losing them because his profile says he’s paying attention.
Why one-man bands give up on replying
Most sole traders we speak to have replied to a couple of reviews then stopped. Two reasons. One: they sat down to write a reply and either sounded defensive or sounded like a robot, neither felt right, and they gave up halfway. Two: they came in from a job at half six, opened Google, saw three new reviews, felt the weight of having to write all three, and shut the laptop.
Ollie removes both. The draft sounds like you — short, direct, no corporate guff. And you don’t sit down to a queue; each one lands in WhatsApp the day it comes in, you tap approve when you stop for a brew.
How it looks for a sole trader
Carpet cleaner, glowing review
"Cleaned three rooms and the stairs, made a proper difference — even got the wine stain out we’d given up on. Friendly, on time, fair price."
Cheers Emma — glad the stain came up, that one was touch and go when I saw it. Thanks for the kind review, much appreciated. Tell your friends!
Gardener, awkward two-star
"Quoted for a full tidy and lawn cut, I felt the borders were rushed. Lawn was fine but the edges didn’t look finished."
Hi Paul, fair point on the borders — sometimes when the weather’s closing in I push to get the cut done first and the edges suffer. Not an excuse, just a reason. If you let me come back for half an hour on the next visit I’ll sort it properly, no extra charge.
Window cleaner, short five-star
"Brilliant job, dead reliable."
Cheers Sue, appreciate it. See you next month.
Questions sole traders ask
I write short, will it write long flowery stuff?
No. If you reply in short clipped sentences, Ollie picks that up within a few drafts and writes the same way. You won’t end up sounding like a corporate brochure.
What if I’m in the van and don’t want to approve right then?
It waits. WhatsApp message sits there until you’re ready — could be the next lunch break, could be that evening. No pressure to act on the spot.
I’ve only got fifteen reviews — is it worth it?
Yes, more so. Smaller review profiles benefit most from looking active. Five replies on fifteen reviews lifts your trust signal more than twenty replies on a profile of two hundred.
